Past down from my Grandmother and it's pretty close but of course without the secrete recipe, it's not exact.

- Step one:
- Combine salad dressing mix, flour, salt, butter and lemon juice into a paste
- Brush to coat each piece of chicken evenly
- Place coated chicken on plate and cover
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes
- Step two:
- Mix pancake mix and spices in shallow pan
- Dip chicken pieces in milk, then coat each piece with the dry mixture
- Let sit for 5 minutes, not touching each other
- Heat oil to 425 degrees in deep skillet, keeping 2 inches deep at all times
- Fry chicken in batches to not crowd pan for 5-6 minutes, until browned on all sides
- Use fork to carefully take pieces out of oil and place on baking sheet
- Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165 degrees
